Welcome to Macro Tech!

Hello & welcome to Macro Tech, a weekly newsletter that sits at the intersection of macroeconomics and technology. First, a little about me:

My name is Matt Snow. I was an Analyst at Greenspring Associates, a $9 billion AUM venture capital platform. I’m a Board Member for the BCO and previously served as a Board Observer for a number of firms (Forever Oceans, Oblong, Baltimore Angels, etc.) Prior to this, I was a founding member of the Stanford d.school’s University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program at Elon University and a recipient of the Love Award for Excellence in Business Leadership, for my research paper, “The Role of Venture Capital Networks in Startup Success.” I’m a Top Writer in Venture Capital on Medium and an active Twitter user.

What I Write About:

In this newsletter, I’ll be covering all things venture, startup, and tech related (as well as macro-economic trends). There will be an edge towards Bitcoinblockchain, and cryptocurrency, which, in my view, may unlock more value than the internet itself. As Louis Pasteur famously said, “Chance favors the prepared mind,” and this newsletter strives to keep you always prepared for what’s coming.

Why subscribe?

Macro Tech spun-out from my first newsletter, Snow Thoughts, which had a paid setup. Fortunately (for you, at least) I’ve decided to make this newsletter free as I’d rather focus on growing a community of brilliant thinkers and investors. Essentially, this newsletter provides you with a unique perspective, combining a Hedge Fund inspired focus on macroeconomics and a Venture Capital inspired focus on technology and startups. Lying at the intersection of these worldviews will enable you to plan and invest for the massive disruption to come in the next few decades.
